The Local Entrepreneurship Development Project for the disposal of infectious medical waste at the Hospital Central in Beira (SIRSU) continues
After a long journey, the Newster NW15 sterilizer machine has arrived at the Central Hospital in Beira, Mozambique. The partnership with ONG CAM - Consortium of Associations with Mozambique is more and more consolidated to carry on the next steps of the project.
The machine will be installed in a special building and will actively contribute to waste disposal of the 15 public health units in Beira and at least 5 public health units, thus reducing about the 40% of the total amount of the waste intended for the incinerator of the Central Hospital of Beira.
We are looking forward to seeing it running and to pursue with the next steps of the project, such as the training of the hospital staff, through collaboration with CAM (Consortium of Associatins with Mozambique).
